T-Minus 2 weeks and 2 days until the fam travels half-way across the country!
I’m super excited, but I’m not gonna lie… I’m pretty nervous. This whole traveling (more specifically FLYING) with a baby is a tad stressful. She’s at that age where she’s not just sleeping anymore, but her attention span on any 1 given thing is about 4 minutes. I think we’ll be ok, I have a few tricks up my sleeves that some other moms have graciously shared but honestly, you just never know how it’s going to go… every child is different so what works for one family may not work for mine. BUT! There is something I can control. And it’s my attitude towards it all. I’m determined to be calm. I’m always extremely well prepared (the blessing & curse of being a neurotic planner) so I just have to trust that it’s all under control!
One of the things that helps me keep calm and confident in myself is what I wear and the accessories I bring along with me. I’ve always gone by this phrase: If I look good, I feel good. And if I feel good, I have confidence in myself. And if I have confidence in myself… I can do anything.
So for the last few days I’ve been scouring Pinterest for all things airport style.

OK, first of all, let me talk about this picture I came across from Julie Sarinana (Sincerely, Jules). I love everything about this. This is the biggest source of inspiration for me! Along with this:

I discovered that I could boil down the key pieces that totally make the outfit:
- Leather Jacket (I’m sure by now you all know my deep love for my leather jacket so this was kind of a “duh” piece for me LOL)
- Comfy Joggers (They’re like sweatpants… but chic ones)
- Tennis Shoes
And that’s exactly what I’ve been shopping for! And get this… everything (ok, minus the backpacks that I happened to add to my own airport style equation) I found and fell in love with is UNDER $100!!
Some of my favorite, affordable(!) leather jackets:
I absolutely love these jogger options I’ve found:
And, of course, some of the coolest & comfiest (is this a word?) tennies:
After those essential outfit ingredients, I decided to add a few of my own. Since I’ll have a
few lot of things to bring with me on the plane, I decided to go with a chic, grown-up backpack to free up my hands. I totally dig these options:
And this one kind of came up randomly… probably more of a “wouldn’t it be nice?” than a “gotta have it before I board that plane”: a really awesome statement necklace. I wear tons of basics and almost zero patterns. I works for me, but I feel like it would never hurt to step up my accessory game, no? I’ll probably end up buying all of these because I just can’t choose:
What airport / travel style pieces do y’all swear by?!
I’d love to get more input!
